Hey everyone,
So after a good amount of time trying out the products from the L'Oreal Paris Hair Expertise Extraordinary Oil, I thought I'd give my official, final review.
I'll start off by saying this: If you have dry and dull hair and you've struggled finding a product that actually works and makes a difference, you should definitely give this line a try. I've been so impressed with these, and they actually work from the first use, which is amazing.
My opinion has changed a bit from my first impression of these products. While I still think they work really well, I have noticed a few things that aren't so great.
Pros:
- It does what it says it does. My hair is softer, shinier and so much more hydrated than before I used these products.
- It smells incredible. I seriously love how this range of product smells. And it's a long lasting scent as well, so my hair always smells great, even if my hair isn't freshly washed.
- The price. After seeing how well these products, I checked them out at the drugstore, expecting them to be a bit pricier, considering the ingredients and the fact that it really does work amazingly (better than some of the salon-quality more expensive products I've used). However it's actually super affordable too! (I believe the shampoo and conditioner were around $5-6 CAD) which is 100% worth it, in my opinion.
Cons:
- There is a significant amount of product buildup in your hair after a while. I notice after using this after a few washes that my hair just doesn't feel as clean as it should. So I recommend using a different, cleansing shampoo about once a week just to fix that. I like to use my Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout shampoo for that.
- I also notice that my hair needs to be washed a bit more often, which I guess is understandable. Since my hair was super dry before, I could get away with not washing it for 2 or even 3 days. But now I have to wash it every second day or else it looks grossssssss.
So, overall, if you have dry hair, I definitely recommend these products. They honestly have changed my hair and I'm so happy about it.
Once again, a big thank you to Influenster and L'Oreal for kindly sending me these products for review purposes. As always, all opinions are 100% honest and my own.
