Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation

Hey everyone! Just stopping by today with a quick review on my new go-to foundation at the moment: an oldie but a goodie, the Rimmel Lasting Finish 25 Hour Foundation.

I won't ramble on too long about this product because I definitely could, so here is what I've noticed with it in the time I've been using it so far:

  • Coverage is medium but definitely buildable.
  • Finish is natural, almost dewy but not quite.
  • You need to set it with a powder because it will stay tacky to the touch even after a while.
  • It has a light, fresh scent that goes away very quickly after applying it.
  • Didn't cause me to break out or any irritation to my sensitive skin.
  • It felt very hydrating and comfortable; GREAT for dry skin types
  • Definitely lives up to the long wearing claim; lasts well through heat, humidity, sweat, etc.
  • Very light feeling on the skin, you don't even notice you're wearing foundation.
  • Bonus: FINALLY a drugstore foundation with a shade light enough for my non-tanned skintone (very fair skinned girls will understand what I mean!)
The Bottom Line

I love this foundation! While I wish I didn't have to set it with powder which can feel drying on my skin, it's otherwise super comfortable and everything I look for in a foundation! Plus it's drugstore, so you can feel good about the price. Definitely a must try for dry skin types looking for an affordable foundation. I'm not sure how well it would last on oily skin (let me know in the comments if you've tried it and have oily skin!!) but I think this is a great product.

Coastal Scents Hot Pot 'New Penny' Swatch

Hey everyone! Today's Coastal Scents Hot Pot swatch is of 'New Penny' which honestly just blows my mind every time I use it because it truly has the pigmentation, blendability and just general quality of a higher end eyeshadow. You can see it just from the swatch. It is the most stunning copper shade that looks amazing all over the lid. I'm obsessed!!!

Hope you're all having a lovely week so far!

Coastal Scents 'Atomic Apricot' Hot Pot SWATCHES

You guys.... can we take a second to talk about the Coastal Scents single eyeshadows (aka Hot Pots)? I didn't have the highest expectations for them, considering how affordable they are (and I mean AFFORDABLE), but wow... quality, pigmentation and blendability is on point.

Bottom line: if you're on a budget, you need some of these in your life. I recently picked up a TON of them (I owned 3, and bought another 12 or so during their recent sale) and I've decided to swatch them all for you because I'm just so in love.

Today we're swatching Atomic Apricot! (side not: can we appreciate the name? How cute and very fitting)

Definitely keep an eye on Coastal Scents because when their single shadows go on sale, they are $0.99 each... Crazy right! Look forward to even more swatches coming soon!

i on Beauty Makeup Brush Review!

I picked up some brushes from the brand i on Beauty a while back and I really wanted to write about them because I feel like I've never heard anyone talk about these before, which is such a shame because they're such great brushes!
The brushes themselves have super soft, synthetic bristles which feel so nice on the face and don't shed at all. They've held up perfectly after several washes too, so for affordable brushes, I'm really impressed with them. They have sturdy bamboo handles, which I personally really like. They aren't the flashiest brushes in my collection, but they do the job well.
My favourite of them all definitely has to be the Blusher brush, which I personally use for face powder. It's big and fluffy which is exactly what I like for setting powder.

I picked mine up at Winners, and they were super affordable. You can also pick them up on Amazon from what I can see. I highly recommend them, especially for those of you who don't have many makeup brushes and want to build up your collection without spending a fortune!
