Feeling Lonely...

I'm not the most social of people. I have my small group of close friends and I've always been content with that. I'm not the kind of person who strives to be friends with everyone and this has never been a problem for me until lately... Let's be honest, if we're stuck taking a boring class or doing a boring job, it makes it better to have a few friends around just to keep you company. I used to have that. But not this semester. I find myself sitting in class alone and then wandering around trying to find things to do during my breaks but not having anything to do or anyone to spend them with. And it's not that I'm not trying. I'm making an effort to talk to more people in my classes in hopes of having a group that maybe I can sit with so I'm not completely alone. But when everyone has already made their solid group of friends, they're not really all that willing to let you in, I guess. And I guess thats why I'm writing this post righ

10 Things To Do When You're Sad

I've mentioned in several blog posts before that a big thing I'm working on in my life is being a happier person and really focusing on self-care and being kind to myself. I thought I'd write about some of the things I like to do when I'm sad that always help me feel better, and hopefully this can help some of you out for when you're next feeling down. 1) Watch a funny movie  This is my go-to thing to do when I'm feeling sad or anxious. Watching a movie to take your mind of things and make you laugh out loud always helps. (Side note; a few episodes of Friends also does the trick!) 2) Comfort food When I'm feeling really down, along with my funny movie, I like to have some yummy comforting food. Soup and hot chocolate are usually my top choices. Something warm and familiar usually does the trick. 3) Talk to a friend Sometimes talking it out with a friend is the best therapy.
