Lise Watier Eden Tropical Palette: Swatches & Review

I mean, can we talk about this packaging for a sec? SO pretty
Hey everyone! For the past little while I've been making an effort to swatch some of my older palettes because
1) They're so pretty and who doesn't like to look at pretty makeup?
2) It reminds me of some of the pretty palettes I own that I don't use nearly enough
I picked the Lise Watier Eden Tropical palette at a warehouse they had a while back (for those of you who don't know this about me: I'm a huge sucker for a good warehouse sale). How pretty are the shades in this palette?
It definitely isn't the most wearable palette on it's own. There are no matte shades in this palette which can be a drawback for some people. Regardless, it swatches nicely if a little bit powdery, and the pigmentation on the lid is pretty good. I'm definitely going to try using this palette more this summer.
Have a great weekend lovelies!

MAY FAVOURITES!

Hi everyone! Long time no talk 😋😋 and happy June!
I'm back from my brief exam and study hiatus, and now that I've officially graduated I'm so excited to have more time to be writing on here about my monthly favourites! There aren't too many, since I didn't really try out too many new things, but I rediscovered a lot of old loves within my collection that I ended up using all month long.

Colourpop Super Shock Shadow in 'KathleenLights'
Every single time I wear this eyeshadow, I will guaranteed receive compliments on it. It is hands down the most beautiful true gold shade that is just so flattering on the eyelids. I'm so obsessed with it.
Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Prague'
It's no secret that I'm a huge fan of Nyx's soft matte lip creams, so obviously I had to add to my collection. Prague is a super pretty deep mauvy pink colour and I'm so in love with it.
Milani Rose Blush in 'Romantic Rose'
This blush, besides being 1) super affordable and 2) so pretty, is seriously the most pigmented and flattering blush I've worn in a really long time. I'm so glad I picked this up because I've been using it every day since April and I just can't get enough.

Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in 'Opal'
I had forgotten just how much I loved this highlight until I started re-using it this past month. It's just so intense and just so GOOD. It applies so flawlessly on the high points of the face and is so eye catching without looking unnatural.
Anastasia Beverly Hills Single Shadow in 'Dusty Rose'
This single shadow for a while now has been my go-to eyeshadow to wear on my minimal makeup days. I just slap it on, all over the lid, or in the crease paired with any pink or purple toned shadows. It's a super flattering colour for my skin tone.
Lise Watier Rouge Gourmand Velours in 'Noble Nude'
I'm so obsessed with the formula of these lipsticks. They are honestly unlike everything I've ever felt. They are the most matte lipsticks I've ever used, and literally feel like velvet when you put them on your lips. You definitely need to exfoliate your lips well before using them but it's so worth it.

Let me know what you loved this past month!

NOVEMBER FAVOURITES!

Can you believe it's already December? It's beginning to look a lot like..... exam season! Kidding, but not really. Hang in there students, the break is near! I can't wait to finally have more time to blog... November was a pretty brutal month for me in terms of school and time management!

This month was a really great one for me in terms of my makeup and skincare routine though. I just came out of a 4-ish month no-buy, which really renewed my perspective on using up my products and not buying more than I really need just because.

I also tried out so many new products, many of which I won't mention here (dedicated full reviews are on the way!), and I've discovered a ton of new favourites.
I went to the Lise Watier warehouse sale this past month and picked up their Blush Trio, and can we just talk about how pretty it is? I think its from an older collection, so I'm not sure if it's available any more, but I've been using it every day in November so I couldn't not share it. It gives the most perfect, winter rosy cheeks that I love.

Another thing I was on the hunt for this month was a new face powder, since I ran out of my beloved Rimmel 'Stay Matte'. I picked up Maybelline's Fit Me! Matte & Poreless Face Powder, and I've been loving it. I'm not sure if it's as good as the Rimmel one, but I've been using it every day and have no complaints at all. It mattifies and sets your face makeup without leaving your face looking powdery, and that's all I can ask for!
My favourite lip colour in November was hands down 'Pink Wink' from Maybelline. It's the coolest metallic rose colour in the most comfortable, long lasting formulation. I've never been a huge fan of the scent of Maybelline lipsticks, but this one doesn't bother me too much (maybe it's just because I love the shade so much, though!)

I've never been one to use setting sprays until I tried the Nyx Dewy Finish Long Lasting Setting Spray. This stuff has changed the game for me completely. It takes away any dryness or powdery finish and leaves your makeup looking like it just became one with your face. It's incredible.
I'm probably one of the biggest fans of L'Oreal's Infallible eye shadows, and this one in the shade 'Permanent Kaki' is definitely no exception. I've been stepping out of my comfort zone a lot lately in terms of eyeshadow and lipstick. A few months ago, I would have never thought I'd be wearing a shade like this on my eyes, but it's quickly become one of my favourites. It's a stunning metallic khaki colour that I honestly think would be flattering on just about any skin tone and any eye colour.

In a similar colour scheme, I've also been loving the Annabelle Smudgeliner in 'Cyber Jungle'. I've always been a huge fan of Annabelle's smudgeliners. They glide on extremely smoothly and pigmented. This one in particular is a khaki/taupe type colour that is suprisingly very pretty.

What did you love during the month of November?

Little Beauty Haul!

Hello there! Sorry for the lack of posts lately, I've been super busy doing all sorts of cool stuff, so look forward to seeing tons of blog posts about what I've been up to coming soon! :)

I've picked up some cool things over my past few shopping trips and I thought I'd share them!

  • Bath & Bodyworks Warm Vanilla Sugar body lotion
  • MAC Amplified creme lipstick in Impassioned
Just about the most gorgeous bright fuchsia!

  • Rimmel Wake Me Up foundation
  • Lise Watier Eau Miscellaire
  • L'Oreal "The One Sweep" sculpting blush duo
  • Sally Hansen Nail Art Pen
  • Rimmel Moisture renew lipsticks in Coral Queen, Diva Red and Funtime Fuchsia
From left to right: Coral Queen, Funtime Fuchsia, Diva Red.
I'm really looking forward to getting familiar with these products. I've tried a few of them and I'm quite impressed with my purchases! I'm also very intrigued with the Lise Watier miscellar water which contains no parabens, soap, alcohol, fragrance, dyes or oil.

Let me know if you want me to review any of these!
