Healthy Apple Crumble Recipe! (Gluten Free, Vegan, Refined Sugar Free)

I had a huge craving for apple crumble for breakfast the other day. Not apple cinnamon oatmeal or anything, but a legitimate apple crumble. It could be that I was just procrastinating on studying for midterms, but the craving was real, so I began my hunt for a easy and quick apple crumble recipe - but every recipe I've come across always has tons of butter and sugar? So in my frustration, I just decided to throw everything in a saucepan and see what happened, and who would've thought - I came up with a really great recipe! It's actually so satisfying and so easy to make, without having to resort to using loads of sugar and butter. It only takes about 15 minutes to make and serves 1, so you can easily multiply this recipe depending on how much you want to make! Ingredients: 3 medium sized apples (I used MacIntosh, but you can use whatever you have!), cut into small cubes 1 tbsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 tbsp maple syrup 1 tsp coconut sugar Pinch of salt 2

The BEST White Sangria Recipe for Summer

As soon as the warm weather rolls around, I love making sangria! I have a handful of different recipes I love to make, but when we plan big barbecues, I always go back to my classics. This recipe is super simple but also very refreshing and delicious. The following measurements are to make a pitcher but I'll also include the amounts to make one glass, in case you don't want to make so much! Citrus White Sangria - 1 bottle of Moscato (I like to use Jacob's Creek) - 2oz of Triple Sec - 2oz of Brandy (Peach Schnapps is also great for this) - 1 can of 7-Up (or any lemon-lime soda) Fill up the rest with pineapple juice and a touch of orange juice. Throw in slices of half an orange, one lime, one lemon and about 6 rinsed marachino cherries. Stir, chill and enjoy! Let me know what you think if you try it! And also let me know if you'd like any of my other sangria recipes... I make a fastastic red sangria, a berry sangria and a tropical sangria! To m

The BEST and EASIEST Waffle Recipe! (Blogmas Day 9)

When it starts to get chilly out, I find myself making waffles pretty often. In fact, our Sunday breakfast usually consists of waffles of some kind. And in my house, I'm the designated waffle chef. I have the best recipe for waffles that are truly delicious AND any lazy chefs dream; its all done in one bowl, with ingredients everyone has in their kitchen. Literally foolproof and delicious. Perfect for Christmas morning! Makes anywhere from 8-12 waffles, depending on the size of your waffle iron. Ingredients:  2 cups of All-Purpose flour 1 tablespoon of baking powder 2 tablespoons of granulated sugar 1/4 teaspoon of salt 2 eggs (beaten) 1 teaspoon of vanilla (but you can add another 1/2 teaspoon if you want a stronger vanilla taste!) 1-3/4 cups of milk 1/4 cup vegetable oil Directions:  1) In a big bowl, combine all the dry ingredients (flour, baking powder, sugar and salt) 2) Create a well in the center of your dry ingredients and add your wet ingredients 3) Mix

Healthy (and Delicious!) Pasta Salad Recipe

This light, colourful pasta salad is my go-to recipe for picnics, pot-lucks and summer BBQ's. Its super tasty and healthy too! Ingredients: 1 box of pasta (I used tri-color fussili) 1 cup of white cheddar, cut into small cubes 1 red bell pepper, diced 1 yellow or orange bell pepper, diced 2-3 scallions 1 can of kidney beans, strained 1 tomato, diced Fresh basil Salad dressing of your choice (I used sundried tomato Italian, which was delicious!) Directions: Boil the pasta, strain and rinse with cold water. Transfer to a big bowl. Add the cheddar, bell peppers, scallions and tomato. Strain the can of kidney beans, rinse them in water and add them in the bowl. Garnish with fresh basil - this parts up to you; I put a lot of basil cause I love it, but you can put as much or as little as you'd like, or omit it all together. Finally, pour the salad dressing on top. I normally put about half a bottle (or about 1 cup) of store bought salad dressing on top, which sounds
