Hidden Treasures

Last weekend, my family and some friends went up to Val-David, Quebec and went to this cute little cafe called C'est la vie   which I just loved. I've been looking for a place like this for so long and I'm so thrilled that I found it! Its so quaint and cozy and the atmosphere was just amazing. The staff was so friendly and the food was delicious!  I ordered a mochacinno and a "Julie" panini which had honey chicken, brie and spinach. They were both sooo good, and they were so pretty I almost didn't want to try them! (so I took pictures haha)  All their drinks were decorated with little hearts on the foamy part which I thought was so cute!  We had the choice to either sit on the big Adirondack chairs at the front of the cafe, on the terrace under the big shady umbrellas or inside the actual cozy cafe. Its really a great place to go when the weathers nice. Overall, I loved this place so so much and I'm definitely going to go back whene

Review: Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

Hello there! So I've been on the hunt for a shampoo to tame my wild hair for ages, so I picked up this during my recent Lush visit  in hopes that it would help with my thick, coarse, dry hair. According to Lush , this has: Stout to calm:  For all hair types but especially beneficial for fluffy, hard-to-manage hair. Friend to all scalps:  Yeast improves the health of the hair and scalp. For a polished finish:  Organic lemon juice is a gentle cleanser that adds masses of shine and gloss. After using this for a little while now, I can say that I'm pretty much still on the fence about it.  Pros:  Though my hair is still a little frizzy, its definitely a bit better than it used to be. My hair is also softer to the touch and shinier.  Cons: I've noticed my hair gets greasier a lot quicker since using this shampoo. I also feel as though it may be drying out my scalp, but it'll take a little more time to know for sure if its because of this.  The

Review: Lush Heavanilli Massage Bar

This was the first Lush massage bar I've ever tried, so it was definitely a whole new experience for me. As I mentioned in my Lush Haul post , I completely fell in love with the smell of this (I'm a sucker for vanilla scents!) and I just HAD to buy it. Overall, I enjoyed this a lot. Its much more moisturizing than a simple body lotion, so I'm thinking my skin will thank me for these when the winter hits! After you rub this onto you, it does leave a greasy, sticky film onto your skin, so this is something you'd want to use on a night in after a bath, or a good few hours before you go out. TIP: You could pair this massage bar with Lush's Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder  , which will help cut the greasy feeling and just enhance the heavenly vanilla smell! The bar melts at your skins temperature and glides smoothly onto your skin. It smells great, it feels great, and once it sinks into your skin, you'll be soft and smooth all over, its amazing. Once on your sk

Review: Revlon Colorburst Lip Butter

I picked up this lip butter when I had taken a trip to the drugstore looking for a nice orange lipstick. I've currently been lusting over MAC's "Morange", but i decided against buying it the last time I was at a MAC counter since I didn't want to spend too much money! Anyway, I saw this in the colour "Tutti Frutti" and I decided to give it a try. I'll be honest, initially I was quite disappointed with this product. Although it is a lip butter, when I swatted it, it came out quite bright and pigmented. On my lips however, it came out quite sheer and only gave the slightest hint of colour. Also, if your lips are just the slightest bit dry, it just settles into the cracks and makes it look more obvious. Once I got past these inconveniences, I can say that for a lip butter, this product isn't too bad. It feels nice on the lips and the sheer hint of colour is nice for days when you want a more subtle lip. I probably wouldn't repurchase
