Healthy Apple Crumble Recipe! (Gluten Free, Vegan, Refined Sugar Free)

I had a huge craving for apple crumble for breakfast the other day. Not apple cinnamon oatmeal or anything, but a legitimate apple crumble. It could be that I was just procrastinating on studying for midterms, but the craving was real, so I began my hunt for a easy and quick apple crumble recipe - but every recipe I've come across always has tons of butter and sugar? So in my frustration, I just decided to throw everything in a saucepan and see what happened, and who would've thought - I came up with a really great recipe! It's actually so satisfying and so easy to make, without having to resort to using loads of sugar and butter. It only takes about 15 minutes to make and serves 1, so you can easily multiply this recipe depending on how much you want to make! Ingredients: 3 medium sized apples (I used MacIntosh, but you can use whatever you have!), cut into small cubes 1 tbsp cinnamon 1/4 tsp nutmeg 1 tbsp maple syrup 1 tsp coconut sugar Pinch of salt 2

New Year, New Body: The 28 Day Reset Challenge

Happy New Year everyone! I hope you all had wonderful holidays and indulged in lots of delicious food and time with loved ones. It's just about that time where we need to get back to reality, and get cracking on all those New Year resolutions! This year I really want to focus more on my diet and get back to working out (almost) as much as I did in the Summer. If you were following my blog this summer, I did the Blogilates Beginner 2.0 Calendar and did weekly check-ins. I decided to start off the year, I would do the 28 Day Reset challenge (the video below will explain it a little better for you!), where for the next 28 days, I'll be cutting out dairy, gluten, added sugar, processed food and alcohol, along with 30 minutes of physical activity at least 6 times a week. I'm really excited to get started and take my before/after pictures! I'm going to be officially starting tomorrow (we had lingering holiday guests and I didn't want to be the stick in the mud

I was super excited to receive this box because this is definitely a brand I've been wanting to try out more from. I'm currently trying out these products, and full reviews will be up soon! Without further ado, here's what was in the box!  The first thing that stood out to me in thebox was the Calendula Intensive Skin Recovery cream. This is the one Weleda product I've tried in the past, and I'm in love with it. I'll be posting a full review about it soon, but trust me, this stuff is miraculous.  Next up are these 3 Evening Primrose products; The Age Revitalizing Day and Night Creams, as wellas the Revitalizing Body Wash. I'm very ex

Healthy (and Delicious!) Pasta Salad Recipe

This light, colourful pasta salad is my go-to recipe for picnics, pot-lucks and summer BBQ's. Its super tasty and healthy too! Ingredients: 1 box of pasta (I used tri-color fussili) 1 cup of white cheddar, cut into small cubes 1 red bell pepper, diced 1 yellow or orange bell pepper, diced 2-3 scallions 1 can of kidney beans, strained 1 tomato, diced Fresh basil Salad dressing of your choice (I used sundried tomato Italian, which was delicious!) Directions: Boil the pasta, strain and rinse with cold water. Transfer to a big bowl. Add the cheddar, bell peppers, scallions and tomato. Strain the can of kidney beans, rinse them in water and add them in the bowl. Garnish with fresh basil - this parts up to you; I put a lot of basil cause I love it, but you can put as much or as little as you'd like, or omit it all together. Finally, pour the salad dressing on top. I normally put about half a bottle (or about 1 cup) of store bought salad dressing on top, which sounds
