Why I Chose Nursing

Note: Before I begin, for anyone not familiar with the education system in Canada, specifically Quebec, we have 5 years of high school, followed by CEGEP (2 years for a pre-university program or 3 years for a career program), and then university. Why did I choose Nursing. It's a question at least one teacher a semester asks us to share with the class to get to know us. It's a question friends, family and acquaintances ask me all the time. It's a question I ask myself when I'm up at 4am studying or dealing with a particularly difficult clinical assignment. The past year and a half has been a total whirlwind of confusion, leading to choosing this career path, leading to the intense studying that comes with it. So why did I choose Nursing? Like the majority of people my age, I was totally lost. Growing up, I was always that kid who would "probably end up in medical school". I wasn't even sure myself but figured I'd end up doing something in the sci

Weekly Pinterest Picks: Autumn Nails

Autumn is fast approaching and I honestly cannot wait for everything that comes along with it; the colourful leaves, warm drinks, chunky knit sweaters and pretty fall coloured nails. In case, like me, any of you are looking for some inspiration for some original fall inspired nail designs, look no further! I collected some of my favourites from Pinterest this week to share with you all. I made sure to include ideas ranging from super simple to more complex, so anyone of any level of nail-art abilities can fully enjoy! Patterned Accent Nails I absolutely adore the look of a patterned accent nail. It adds a little something extra than just your typical glitter accent nail and these are so autumnal and lovely! Burgundy/Deep Red Nails A nice deep red colour is hands down my favourite for fall and one of my go-to looks when I'm either in a hurry or can't decide what to do with my nails.  Warm, Autumnal Colours Glitter Ombre Halloween Themed Neutral Shades

~ Cape Cod 2015 ~

Hey everyone! I've been gone for a little while on vacation but now I'm back; a lot more relaxed, a bit more tanned (AKA sunburnt) and somewhat ready to go back to school. I took a lot of gorgeous pictures on my vacation which I thought I'd share with you all. They aren't the greatest of photos (I took them on my phone) but I'm sure some of you will enjoy them! I had such an amazing time and I can't wait to go back again some day. If anyone would like a more in depth post about my trip to Cape Cod please let me know! :) It was such a great way to end my summer, and I'm already missing it... I hope you enjoyed these photos and you're all having a wonderful end to your summers! xo

Weekly Pinterest Picks: Fall Fashion

As usual, I've been spending lots of time browsing Pinterest (follow me here , if you'd like!) and I've been very into fall fashion this week. Yes, I know, its still August, and fall is still a little ways away, but I can't help myself! Its my favourite season and hands down my favourite fashion wise, so I've been indulging myself in looking through and pinning tons of photos with warm cardigans, chunky scarves and boots! Anyway, while not all of us are thinking ahead to the chillier days, I still thought I'd share some of the looks I've been loving to maybe give you some inspiration for when you do decide to maybe spruce up your wardrobe, be it for back-to-school season or just an update for this years trends. Enjoy! xo

Pretty Little Liars Summer Finale Review! || #FAceToFace

Warning: Contains Spoilers! Wow. 6 seasons, endless frustration and unbelievable amounts of patience later, and we finally found out who A is. From what I've seen online, a lot of people seem to be very disappointed by the reveal, and to be honest, at first, I was too. We wanted drama. We wanted heartbreak. We all wanted A to be some shocking revelation from some character we knew well and had some sort of emotional connection with, and CeCe, well, she had been gone for long, lets be honest, we kind of forgot her. We all wanted a repeat of the shock we got that time we were led to believe that Ezra was A. So yeah, at first, I was definitely disappointed. But then it got better.  Hearing CeCe's story really sold it to me. Just feeling every little storyline and unanswered question just click into place was so satisfying. I also really loved how emotional it was; and how you become aware of the fact that you're feeling bad for A even after everything the girls were p

July Favourites!

Happy August everyone! Here's what I loved this month! There isn't much, since I've mostly been using the same things I loved from June, but there are a few new things! Enjoyyy! MAKEUP:  Maybelline 'The Colossal Volum Express' mascara This mascara is wonderful. I picked it up after not having used it in a while, after I ran out of my Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' mascara so it had some big shoes to fill, but I honestly have grown to love this one so much. Its not the most volumizing of mascaras that I've used, but it really lengthens your lashes in a way that looks very natural, almost to the point that you look like your wearing false lashes. Its so great! Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 'Elusive' This is my go-to lip colour when I'm going out in the summer. Its so cute and summery, I honestly love wearing it. The lasting power is surprisingly long and even though its matte, it doesn't cling to any creases or dry patches on your l
