July Favourites!

Happy August everyone! Here's what I loved this month! There isn't much, since I've mostly been using the same things I loved from June, but there are a few new things! Enjoyyy!

MAKEUP:

Maybelline 'The Colossal Volum Express' mascara
This mascara is wonderful. I picked it up after not having used it in a while, after I ran out of my Too Faced 'Better Than Sex' mascara so it had some big shoes to fill, but I honestly have grown to love this one so much. Its not the most volumizing of mascaras that I've used, but it really lengthens your lashes in a way that looks very natural, almost to the point that you look like your wearing false lashes. Its so great!

Revlon Colorburst Matte Balm in 'Elusive'
This is my go-to lip colour when I'm going out in the summer. Its so cute and summery, I honestly love wearing it. The lasting power is surprisingly long and even though its matte, it doesn't cling to any creases or dry patches on your lips. I would recommend exfoliating your lips before using a matte lip product, but if you're running late or just want something to pop on your lips, I wouldnt worry too much about this one. A must have for everyone.

BODY:

Hawaiian Tropic Silk Hydration After Sun lotion
I've been spending more time in the sun this month and its finally gotten really hot and sunny here in Canada. After spending some time outside in the sun, I love to use this product. It has everything you could ever want. It smells incredible, it contains aloe which is so soothing and cooling to the skin, and it has ribbons on moisturizer which keeps your skin nice and soft. I'm leaving for vacation in a couple weeks and this is the first thing I'm packing in my bag!

OTHERS:

Tangled by Carolyn Mackler
This was such a sweet, interesting read. If you're looking for a lighthearted page-turner to read by the pool or on the beach, this is it. I have a full review on my book blog, which you can read here. I highly recommend it!

Nike Free 5.0 running shoes
I bought a new pair of running shoes, and I am so in love with them, its almost ridiculous. I have never worn a more comfortable and supportive shoe in my life. Plus, they're bright pink. Whats not to love? The picture truly does not do them justice.

                Backpack
I had my eye on this cute little bag and to my surprise, it was on sale for 50% off, so obviously I couldn't resist... I've been using this so often, especially on days when I would normally take a purse but have a few extra things that would either make it too heavy or wouldn't fit. Its so pretty and it just might be my favourite purchase of the month (along with my Nikes of course!)

What did you guys love this month? Let me know!

The BEST and EASIEST Waffle Recipe! (Blogmas Day 9)

When it starts to get chilly out, I find myself making waffles pretty often. In fact, our Sunday breakfast usually consists of waffles of some kind. And in my house, I'm the designated waffle chef. Review: Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

Hello there! So I've been on the hunt for a shampoo to tame my wild hair for ages, so I picked up this during my recent Lush visit  in hopes that it would help with my thick, coarse, dry hair. According to Lush , this has: Stout to calm:  For all hair types but especially beneficial for fluffy, hard-to-manage hair. Friend to all scalps:  Yeast improves the health of the hair and scalp. For a polished finish:  Organic lemon juice is a gentle cleanser that adds masses of shine and gloss. After using this for a little while now, I can say that I'm pretty much still on the fence about it.  Pros:  Though my hair is still a little frizzy, its definitely a bit better than it used to be. My hair is also softer to the touch and shinier.  Cons: I've noticed my hair gets greasier a lot quicker since using this shampoo. I also feel as though it may be drying out my scalp, but it'll take a little more time to know for sure if its because of th...
