My 2015 Makeup and Beauty Favourites!

Hey everyone! So as 2015 comes to a close, I've gathered up all my favourite makeup products from this year into one big post! So here are the products that I loved ALL year and were my absolute favourites. I'll also be writing full reviews for each one of these products throughout the month of January for those of you who would like to know more! Too Faced Born This Way Foundation By far the best foundation I've used probably ever. I love this stuff. I have dry skin so finding a good foundation is usually pretty hard for me since it always tends to settle in a very obvious way on my skin which is not the effect I'm going for... This foundation looks so natural, and also offers great coverage. Awesome. Too Faced Better Than Sex Mascara This mascara might just be my holy grail mascara. Does everything a good mascara should do; adds volume, length and curl. I probably used it almost every day this year (except for the past couple weeks because I've run ou

Christmas Gift Suggestions For Your Girlfriend (Blogmas Day 5)

Before I begin with my suggestions, I think it's important to mention that no matter how difficult you think it may be to shop for a girl, it's actually pretty simple. And here's the best thing you can do: go on a shopping trip with them. Girls are pretty vocal about things they like and dislike, so you will definitely hear a few of the "Oh my god, I love this" and "I want this soooo much!" and even "How cute is this???". Take these as your hints. Not only will you be getting her something you know for sure that she will like, but you will get bonus points for being attentive, listening and remembering the things she liked. If this fails, here are a few of my suggestions that I personally think would make great gifts. Of course, not all these apply to every girl, and maybe none of these will apply for your girlfriend. But what I personally believe is that if it shows that you put some thought into it and tried to buy her something she would l

My November Favourites! (Blogmas Day 1)

Hello there! Welcome to the beginning of a brand new month and also the first day of Blogmas! No better way to start a new month than to share what I loved throughout last month! I haven't done a favourites post is quite a while and there was a lot of new products I tried (and loved) during the month of November! So here we go.... 1) Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Copenhagen' Anyone who knows me knows I've been on the hunt for the perfect autumnal dark red lip colour. Seriously, I think I own about 8 wine-coloured lipsticks that I bought, tried a few times and liked, but ultimately were not exactly what I was looking for. Well I can finally say that I've found it. The perfect dark wine/berry lip. I also totally adore Nyx's Soft Matte Lip Cream formulations (seriously, if you haven't tried them, definitely pick one up! They have tons of different colours and they're incredible) 2) Benefit Erase Paste An oldie but I goodie. I used to be in lo

August Favourites

Another month has ended, and with it brings tons of more amazing products that I've loved all month long! Here's what I loved the most: Too Faced Born This Way foundation I'll probably write a full, in-depth review of this product but OMG. This foundation has taken the #1 spot in my list of favourite foundations. Its honestly so incredible and I've been using it every day. I'd recommend it to anyone. I can't get enough of it. It looks so natural, feels so lightweight and nice on the skin, yet offers great coverage. Lush R&B Hair moisturizer It's been super hot and humid in August where I live, and that usually causes my hair to be out of control and frizzy but this product has honestly saved me. Besides the fact that it smells soooo nice, it makes my hair manageable and soft. I usually put it in my hair when its still wet, but you can also put it in while your hair is dry to tame frizz and flyaways. It's a must have product if you ever hav

Best Moisturizers for Extra Dry Hands

Anyone who works in a healthcare setting (or anywhere else that requires frequent, intense hand washing) knows that there's nothing worse (and more common!) than dry, cracked hands. I have had such a hard time dealing with this problem and I've tried out so many hand creams trying to find the best of the best; fast absorbing, non greasy, intensely moisturizing and safe for sensitive skin. I've found quite a few great creams and I thought I'd share my favourites! These are all ones that I swear by and are also safe for sensitive and eczema prone skin. If you have really dry hands or are washing your hands frequently and need a good moisturizer to keep your hands soft and lovely, these are definitely ones to try. In no particular order....... Lush - Formulae Known As (AKA the old Charity Pot) I love this stuff! I picked up one of these the first ever time I shopped at Lush and I've been repurchasing it ever since. It smells so nice (kind of like chocolate!) but

My Top 5 Favourite Lush Bath Bombs!!

After a long day, there's nothing quite like taking a warm, relaxing bath. So why not make it even nicer with a bath bomb? I've tried quite a few of Lush's bath bombs, so I thought I'd make a list of my Top 5 favourite ones! In no particular order... Sex Bomb This was the first bath bomb of theirs that I ever tried and I'm still in love. It makes your bath water a gorgeous pink colour and leaves your skin super soft and silky smooth. It has a very floral scent (jasmine, clary sage and ylang ylang) which I personally love (its not for everyone though, so do give it a smell and see if you like it!). Bonus: the scent lingers on your skin for a while after so you smell really great!! Butterball I literally buy one of these every time I go to Lush. Its not the most exciting of bath bombs, colour wise but its so amazing. It smells like vanilla (and anyone who knows me will know that I'm a total sucker for vanilla scented anything), but the main thing ab

Review: Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

Hello there! So I've been on the hunt for a shampoo to tame my wild hair for ages, so I picked up this during my recent Lush visit  in hopes that it would help with my thick, coarse, dry hair. According to Lush , this has: Stout to calm:  For all hair types but especially beneficial for fluffy, hard-to-manage hair. Friend to all scalps:  Yeast improves the health of the hair and scalp. For a polished finish:  Organic lemon juice is a gentle cleanser that adds masses of shine and gloss. After using this for a little while now, I can say that I'm pretty much still on the fence about it.  Pros:  Though my hair is still a little frizzy, its definitely a bit better than it used to be. My hair is also softer to the touch and shinier.  Cons: I've noticed my hair gets greasier a lot quicker since using this shampoo. I also feel as though it may be drying out my scalp, but it'll take a little more time to know for sure if its because of this.  The

Review: Lush Heavanilli Massage Bar

This was the first Lush massage bar I've ever tried, so it was definitely a whole new experience for me. As I mentioned in my Lush Haul post , I completely fell in love with the smell of this (I'm a sucker for vanilla scents!) and I just HAD to buy it. Overall, I enjoyed this a lot. Its much more moisturizing than a simple body lotion, so I'm thinking my skin will thank me for these when the winter hits! After you rub this onto you, it does leave a greasy, sticky film onto your skin, so this is something you'd want to use on a night in after a bath, or a good few hours before you go out. TIP: You could pair this massage bar with Lush's Vanilla Puff Dusting Powder  , which will help cut the greasy feeling and just enhance the heavenly vanilla smell! The bar melts at your skins temperature and glides smoothly onto your skin. It smells great, it feels great, and once it sinks into your skin, you'll be soft and smooth all over, its amazing. Once on your sk

Lush Haul!

So... I went to Lush the other day and thought I'd show you all some of the goodies I picked up from there! I had never actually been inside Lush or tried any of their products before, but I had heard such good things about them that I decided to change that! Here's some of the things I picked up! 1) Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo (or as the lady in the store called it, "their famous beer shampoo") I was a little on the fence about getting this but I decided to give it a shot. I'll probably give it a full review later on. I got the 100mL bottle which was $9.95 2) Jasmine & Henna Fluff Eaze Hair Treatment I got this in hopes of finally finding a good hair treatment that will tame my thick, wild hair. What sold me is their claim that it will "smooth and soften fluffy, frizzy and dry hair". I've used it once so far, and it seems to have made a little bit of a difference. I'll write up a review of it once I've fi
