Best Moisturizers for Extra Dry Hands

Anyone who works in a healthcare setting (or anywhere else that requires frequent, intense hand washing) knows that there's nothing worse (and more common!) than dry, cracked hands. I have had such a hard time dealing with this problem and I've tried out so many hand creams trying to find the best of the best; fast absorbing, non greasy, intensely moisturizing and safe for sensitive skin.

I've found quite a few great creams and I thought I'd share my favourites! These are all ones that I swear by and are also safe for sensitive and eczema prone skin. If you have really dry hands or are washing your hands frequently and need a good moisturizer to keep your hands soft and lovely, these are definitely ones to try.

In no particular order.......

Lush - Formulae Known As (AKA the old Charity Pot)
I love this stuff! I picked up one of these the first ever time I shopped at Lush and I've been repurchasing it ever since. It smells so nice (kind of like chocolate!) but it also does the job right. It's also safe for sensitive and eczema prone skin which had me sold. Its a bit on the greasier side, so I like to use this right before going to bed. When you wake up, your hands will be super soft and soothed.

Curel - Hand Therapy Cream
I initially picked this up because it was on sale and I was in desperate need of a new hand cream. I'm so glad I did, because this just might be my favourite. The cream itself is so light and doesn't feel like much. But it really hydrates and soothes your skin. True to their word, this particular moisturizer is non greasy and is absorbed so quickly. I like to keep this one with me when I'm at work and apply it when my hands are feeling in need of some hydration.

Aveeno - Eczema Care Hand Cream
This one is for those who suffer from eczema on their hands. I've had this issue since I was a young kid and using corticosteroid creams is really not a good long-term option. This cream has honestly been a godsend. It soothes itching and hydrates any dry patches. After using this for a while, I've noticed a huge reduction of itching and redness on my hands, to the point where my eczema is nearly all cleared up. I like to keep one of these next to my bed (in case my hands get itchy during the night) and one in my work bag, in case I need it). If you have eczema I honestly urge you to give this a try.

Aveeno - Intense Relief Hand Cream
This is another great one for dry, chapped hands. Its a thicker cream but doesn't leave your hands greasy and absorbs quickly. Its also very soothing, so I love using this one right after a vigorous hand wash. Aveeno clearly know what they're doing when it comes to soothing, good quality hand creams.

What are you favourite hand creams? Have you tried any of these ones before? What did you think?
Let me know!

Hope you're all having a great day!

Review: Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

Hello there! So I've been on the hunt for a shampoo to tame my wild hair for ages, so I picked up this during my recent Lush visit  in hopes that it would help with my thick, coarse, dry hair. According to Lush , this has: Stout to calm:  For all hair types but especially beneficial for fluffy, hard-to-manage hair. Friend to all scalps:  Yeast improves the health of the hair and scalp. For a polished finish:  Organic lemon juice is a gentle cleanser that adds masses of shine and gloss. After using this for a little while now, I can say that I'm pretty much still on the fence about it.  Pros:  Though my hair is still a little frizzy, its definitely a bit better than it used to be. My hair is also softer to the touch and shinier.  Cons: I've noticed my hair gets greasier a lot quicker since using this shampoo. I also feel as though it may be drying out my scalp, but it'll take a little more time to know for sure if its because of th...
