The Perfect Girls Night In

As I'm sure many of you know, yesterday was National Best Friends day, and luckily I was able to spend the day (and night!) with my best friend. We had such a great time that we figured a blog post about it was definitely a good idea. While we don't get to see each other the most often, it's the times like these that count the most because there is not all that much that can replace the 2 am laughter and the endless snacking and gossiping.

As per usual, our get together's begin with baking. Sometimes our creations come out good, sometimes not so much, but this time our cupcakes came out amazingly. (They also taste fantastic in case anyone was wondering!). We made chocolate fudge cupcakes with baby blue and lavender vanilla icing, which looked (in my opinion), absolutely gorgeous. Besides that, the baking and decorating process is 1000x more fun when you do it with a friend.

Also, playing a throwback thursday playlist is essential.

After baking, we created the ideal sleepover environment. Pillows and blankets galore! Along with snacks, drinks, and movies of course... Whether or not we stayed awake for the entire movie is debatable but that's not important.

The next morning (well, noon), we made pancakes and watched Friends all afternoon. And if that isn't an awesome way to pass your day, I don't know what is.

I had such a great past 2 days, being able to spend time with my best friend and have a generally relaxed girls day/night in.

What do you like to do on your girls night in?

Review: Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

Hello there! So I've been on the hunt for a shampoo to tame my wild hair for ages, so I picked up this during my recent Lush visit  in hopes that it would help with my thick, coarse, dry hair. According to Lush , this has: Stout to calm:  For all hair types but especially beneficial for fluffy, hard-to-manage hair. Friend to all scalps:  Yeast improves the health of the hair and scalp. For a polished finish:  Organic lemon juice is a gentle cleanser that adds masses of shine and gloss. After using this for a little while now, I can say that I'm pretty much still on the fence about it.  Pros:  Though my hair is still a little frizzy, its definitely a bit better than it used to be. My hair is also softer to the touch and shinier.  Cons: I've noticed my hair gets greasier a lot quicker since using this shampoo. I also feel as though it may be drying out my scalp, but it'll take a little more time to know for sure if its because of th...
