BH Cosmetics 28 Color "Smokey Eye" Palette

Hi everyone!
So not too long ago I picked up the BH Cosmetics 28 color Smokey Eye palette and I knew I had to post about it on here because I am so excited about it and I can't wait to play around with it more because, I mean, look at it... The variety of shades in the palette allows you to create so many different kinds of looks.
This palette was super affordable (I picked it up for $15) which I think is a fantastic value for the amount of shadows you're getting. Obviously the quality is not on par with more professional, high-end brands, but I was actually quite impressed with the quality of these shadows. The pigmentation is really good and I found them to be easy to blend and work with.

I do recommend using them with a good eyeshadow primer or base (I use the Essence 'I Love Stage' eyeshadow base) which will hugely intensify the pigmentation and lasting power of the shadows.

I am super in love with the purple shadows in the palette. They are so so pretty and if you're someone who enjoys purple eyeshadow, this is a match made in heaven. There is also a really great variety of grey, silver and black shadows to create the perfect, sultry smokey eye.

I'm so excited to use this more and see what kind of looks I can come up with!

Hope you're all having a wonderful weekend!

1 Year of Covid-19: A reflection

It feels like just yesterday we were all feeling the anxiety and uncertainty of a new disease that was spreading quickly around the world that no one truly understood yet. We were facing the first wave of cases, the fear of going outside and being around people and the first round of quarantines and restrictions.  It feels like just yesterday, but also so long ago.  I, and I am sure many others, am feeling a mix of emotions.  Sad for the loss of comfort we once had. Grief for all the lives lost and permanently changed. Thankful for my health and that of my family. Gratitude for the scientists and frontline workers alike, working tirelessly behind the scenes I hope that one day we can return to a new normal. I hope that one day I'll be able to go to work and not feel  afraid  to get too close to my coworkers and patients. I hope that no one will ever again have to face the end of their lives all alone. I hope that no one has their life cut short because of...
