September Favourites!

Yay! It's officially October, which means Fall is in full swing! Also, October happens to be my favourite month (and also my birth month, but that has totally nothing to do with it eheh).

September was a pretty good month for me. School is stressful, but rewarding. I'm also 2 months into my makeup-no buy, which was been a challenge. I'm so tempted to buy things, but it's also pretty satisfying to see my collection get more use.

Since I haven't been buying anything new, my favourites this month are mostly things in my collection I rediscovered my love for (or finally got around to trying). I've also been trying to push myself out of my comfort zone in terms of my makeup looks, which is especially fun now that its fall.

I've been absolutely loving the Annabelle 'Big Show' mascara this past month. It is such a great mascara to use on a day to day basis. It adds a natural looking length and volume to my lashes, which make them look extra fluttery and pretty. It also doesn't clump or flake, so it's pretty much fantastic all around.
My next favourite this month is actually not beauty related. I've been loving wearing delicate necklaces this past month, especially this one I got from Charming Charlie, which is a pretty pink, opalescent stone. I just love the pretty effect it gives! I wore it almost every day in September.

Scent wise, I've almost exclusively been wearing 'Coconut Passion' from Victoria's Secret. It is such a comforting yet flirty, sweet scent. If you're not crazy about sweet scents, I'd skip this, but if you're like me and you're a sucker for sweet, vanilla-y scents, you'll adore this.
I've also been getting a lot of use from my BH cosmetics 'Smokey Eyes' palette these past few weeks. This palette is seriously so fantastic for fall. It has some of the prettiest burgundies and purples. I really wish it had some more gold and orange shades, but it still is a great palette to work with. The shadows are also extremely pigmented and easy to blend out!
This eyeshadow might just be my favourite in the whole world... Photographs really cannot do it justice. Urban Decay's 'Lounge' shadow is addictive. It's a really cool brick red shade with a green shift.
One of my go-to bold lipsticks in September was pearl finish of 'Wine with Everything' by Revlon. On me, its a really pretty looking metallic orange-red, which I think is absolutely perfect for the fall season.
Of course, I wasn't wearing bold lipstick every day in September. I definitely was wearing more nude lipstick, and more often than not I was wearing 'Cool Nude' from Essence. As the name implies, it's a cool nude lipstick, which is a lot more flattering on the lips than I expected. It looks especially nice when you pair it with a more bold eyeshadow look.
Finally, I've been really liking to use e.l.f's Ultimate Blending Brush to apply blush. The brush is fairly dense and super soft, and just the perfect size to apply blush.

That's what I was loving this month! Let me know your favourites in the comments below!

Review: Lush Cynthia Sylvia Stout Shampoo

Hello there! So I've been on the hunt for a shampoo to tame my wild hair for ages, so I picked up this during my recent Lush visit  in hopes that it would help with my thick, coarse, dry hair. According to Lush , this has: Stout to calm:  For all hair types but especially beneficial for fluffy, hard-to-manage hair. Friend to all scalps:  Yeast improves the health of the hair and scalp. For a polished finish:  Organic lemon juice is a gentle cleanser that adds masses of shine and gloss. After using this for a little while now, I can say that I'm pretty much still on the fence about it.  Pros:  Though my hair is still a little frizzy, its definitely a bit better than it used to be. My hair is also softer to the touch and shinier.  Cons: I've noticed my hair gets greasier a lot quicker since using this shampoo. I also feel as though it may be drying out my scalp, but it'll take a little more time to know for sure if its because of th...
