Christmas Gift Suggestions For Your Girlfriend (Blogmas Day 5)

Before I begin with my suggestions, I think it's important to mention that no matter how difficult you think it may be to shop for a girl, it's actually pretty simple. And here's the best thing you can do: go on a shopping trip with them. Girls are pretty vocal about things they like and dislike, so you will definitely hear a few of the "Oh my god, I love this" and "I want this soooo much!" and even "How cute is this???". Take these as your hints. Not only will you be getting her something you know for sure that she will like, but you will get bonus points for being attentive, listening and remembering the things she liked. If this fails, here are a few of my suggestions that I personally think would make great gifts. Of course, not all these apply to every girl, and maybe none of these will apply for your girlfriend. But what I personally believe is that if it shows that you put some thought into it and tried to buy her something she would l

Decorating My Christmas Tree! (Blogmas Day 4)

Hello everyone! Guess what I did today! I guess the title of this post was kind of a give-away, but yes, I finally decorated my Christmas tree! I decorate my Christmas tree as early in December as I can because it just gets me in the most festive mood and I want to keep it around as much as I can! I love seeing other people's Christmas trees so I encourage everyone to make a blog post showing off your tree and leave me the links in the comments below! I'll also be posting a collection of beautiful trees I find on Pinterest cause I'm a Christmas addict like that! Our Christmas tree is a mix of silver, gold and pearls. I love how it looks so classy but also really fun and sparkly! Let me know what you think and how you'd decorate your ideal Christmas tree! xo (Apologies for my sub-par photo quality! My good camera has broken so I'm stuck taking photos with my phone! Anyone have any recommendations for a good quality camera that won't break the bank?)

Getting Rid of Toxic Friendships (Blogmas Day 3)

Hi everyone! Now I know for the most part, Blogmas is usually a time for more festive holiday posts, but there are a few things I've really been wanting to write about for a while now that I haven't gotten around to and since I'm making the effort to publish one post a day, I figured this is the time to do it. So, as you can assume from the title, this isn't a holiday-related post. But it's something I feel is very important, and I really felt like writing about it today! I've reached a point in my life where I'm very happy with all the people who are currently in my life. But it hasn't always been that way. A really hard thing to come to terms with, especially in your teenage years, is that no matter how convinced you are of otherwise, many of your friendships will not stand the test of time, and 2, 5, 10 years from now they (and you) will be completely different people. There are two things we need to work on: Realizing its time to move away

Christmas Shopping For Your Boyfriend (Blogmas Day 2)

I'm pretty good at shopping for gifts, especially when it comes to Christmas gifts. I'm very attentive to the things people like and I really love choosing gifts that are both thoughtful and useful. However this skill, or talent if you will, clearly does not apply when it comes to shopping for my boyfriend. Because I am truly clueless. If you're looking for some kind of guide for the ideal gifts to buy your boyfriend, I am very sorry because what you have stumbled across here is far from that; this is a rant. Because I am truly confused, why is it so hard to shop for your boyfriend?? Maybe I'm alone here and I'm sounding crazy. And it's not that my boyfriend is overly picky or has high expectations. However I'm used to being able to find the perfect gift for everyone on my list and for some reason I just can't put my finger on what it would be. I can think of things he would like, sure. But I'm after that kind of gift that has that 'wow'

My November Favourites! (Blogmas Day 1)

Hello there! Welcome to the beginning of a brand new month and also the first day of Blogmas! No better way to start a new month than to share what I loved throughout last month! I haven't done a favourites post is quite a while and there was a lot of new products I tried (and loved) during the month of November! So here we go.... 1) Nyx Soft Matte Lip Cream in 'Copenhagen' Anyone who knows me knows I've been on the hunt for the perfect autumnal dark red lip colour. Seriously, I think I own about 8 wine-coloured lipsticks that I bought, tried a few times and liked, but ultimately were not exactly what I was looking for. Well I can finally say that I've found it. The perfect dark wine/berry lip. I also totally adore Nyx's Soft Matte Lip Cream formulations (seriously, if you haven't tried them, definitely pick one up! They have tons of different colours and they're incredible) 2) Benefit Erase Paste An oldie but I goodie. I used to be in lo

Blogmas

Hello everyone! Since, as many of you know, I'm extremely excited about the holiday season and I want to share my excitement I've decided to partake in Blogmas this year: one blog post every day of December up until Christmas eve. Now I'm not sure if I'll regret this decision, since December is finals season as well and I'll be busier than ever, but I'm super determined to do it, and I think it'll be a fun 24 days of great posts! Hopefully you'll all follow along with me as we draw nearer to the holidays and get excited with me! Let me know in the comments if there's anything you'd like me to write about during Blogmas! I'd love to hear your suggestions!! xo

Confessions of a Cell Phone Addict

I'll start this off by saying that I never considered myself to be addicted to my phone. Yeah, I use it to text and to keep up with my social media but I have a minimal amount of apps and I don't particularly feel like I need them. But then I lost my phone. For one whole day. And it was hard. The first reason that made it difficult was just the simple anxiety of trying to figure out what happened to my phone. Where did I lose it? Is it okay? Of course, this would happen on a day when I had an important test, which made reviewing for that next to impossible. Once I finally managed to track down my phone, my thoughts were pretty much preoccupied with getting it back. I found myself often forgetting I didn't have my phone and reaching into my empty pocket to get it. Which was kind of concerning. Do I really check my phone this often? Truly, the worst thing for me not having my phone is that I never had a clue what time it was. I'm not the kind of person who wears
