Review: Revlon Mega Multiplier Mascara

Hey guys! So I was lucky enough to be sent the Revlon Mega Multiplier mascara for free from Influenster in return of a review, and I've been so excited to try it out! I'm always up to try a new mascara from the drugstore. The package claims that the product will give you an "oversized lash look" which obviously intrigued me a lot. However as you'll see in the close up pictures further down, the product didn't really give me that false lash effect. I really enjoyed the packaging itself. The black part is a sleek, matte texture similar to what you see on Nars packaging, and the top is a vibrant blue plastic. I was definitely drawn in by the wand of it. One of my holy grail mascaras is the Essence Lash Princess mascara (and it's only like $5, pick it up, friends) and it has a wand nearly identical to this one. So first impressions were promising for this product. The Final Verdict I think that this is a great mascara for every day lashe

Saturday Swatches: Clinique All About Eyeshadow Quad

I love Clinique skincare. But when it comes to their makeup products, I really haven't tried all that much. A while back  I went to a Cosmetics Company Outlet, and this quad was included in one of the sets I picked up. These aren't really colours I'd normally gravitate towards, but the more I look at it, the more I find it super pretty. The shadows themselves are very smooth and decently pigmented. I find them pretty easy to blend as well. My only issue with this quad is that I wish there was a matte transition shade. The shade 'Sunset Glow' might have been it, but it comes off a bit more on the metallic side when applied to the skin.  Regardless, you can still create a pretty and cohesive look using only this palette, for sure. I really do think this was a well thought out quad that gives you the basics you absolutely need: a creamy white/highlight shade, a crease shade, your pop of colour and a dark shade to smoke it up.  As you can see, San

Review: Acure Aromatherapeutic Moroccan Argan Oil

My skin is going through a phase. It is drier than the desert in July and I've been trying my best to rehydrate it, which means I've tested out a TON of products in the past couple weeks, which of course I will review for you all. Today we're talking about the  Aromatherapeutic Moroccan Argan Oil from Acure, in the rose scent. I am someone who swears by oils. Be it for my skin or my hair, I'm a huge believer in the benefits of using an oil to solve any of your dryness issues. This oil is a nice one. While it is argan oil, I find it has a subtle citrusy lemongrass scent (even though it says that it's rose scented!) Alright so let's talk about what makes this oil great; Lightweight and quickly absorbed Multipurpose: works great in hair, on cuticles, and on any dry areas of the skin Scent is subtle and fades away after a while  Suitable for sensitive skin Organic, Vegan, Cruelty Free, Sulfate Free and Paraben Free Honestly this is great stuff to hav

Saturday Swatches: L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow Quad in 'Stacked Heels'

Those of you who have been following my blog for a while know about my persistant journey to find the best drugstore purple eyeshadows. This journey is what lead me to pick up the L'Oreal Colour Riche Eyeshadow Quad in 'Stacked Heels'.  The shades in this quad are right up my alley but of course purple shadows are not easily done, so as stunning as they look in the pan, they don't quite translate that well on the eyes. As you can probably see in the picture, the shadows are a bit stiff and powdery, which definitely affects the pigmentation. The white shade in the quad is also on the chalky side. I still think that this palette is workable, and with some patience and work, you can make a beautiful look with this quad. It will just take a bit longer and more product to build up the desired pigmentation. So, overll, is it my holy grail, hidden gem purple eyeshadow of the drugstore? Not really. But still something I see myself occasionally using.

L'Oreal Private Sale Haul!

Hey everyone! A while back I had a chance to go to the L'Oreal Private Sale, which essentially is a huge invite-only warehouse sale that happens twice a year, including all brands under L'Oreal. I love these sales because 1) you can find amazing deals on products you love and 2) you can pick up products you've been curious to try for a discounted price. Anyway, here's what I picked up!:  L'Oreal Infallible Eyeshadows: It's no secret that I'm obsessed with the formula of these eyeshadows, so I always make a point to pick up a couple every private sale I attend. I picked up the shades: -Pepsy Coral -Endless Chocolat -Goldmine -Purple Obsession  I also picked up the Dermablend Corrective Compact Cream, since I've been looking for a fuller coverage foundation lately that would suit my sensitive skin. I wanted to buy the liquid foundation but they didn't have one light enough for my skin tone at the sale, so I picked up the one in the compac

NYX HD Blush in 'Rose Gold' - Review & Swatches

When it comes to blush for the summertime, there are two things in particular that I'm looking for. I tend to lean on the more coral/peach side of the colour spectrum, and I like my blushes to have a bit of a glow. I initially picked up the Nyx HD Blush in 'Rose Gold', thinking it might be a dupe for the Nars 'Orgasm' blush, but when I actually compared the two, I preferred this one. It's all the pretty, glowy peachy pink, minus the chunky glitter.  The blush itself is very blendable and very pigmented. It is a bit powdery (as you can see in the photo) and the product kicks up a bit when you put a brush to it, but it applies so flawlessly on the cheeks. This blush has become my go-to summer blush. It gives a beautiful flushed colour to the cheeks, along with a golden glow, so you could even skip on the highlighter when wearing this product. It pairs so nicely with both bold or natural looks, making it a great, versatile blush to have in your collection!

Huge Colourpop Haul!!

If there is one brand that I just cannot resist browsing (and ordering) from, it has to be Colourpop. A while back Colourpop was having free international shipping, which in other words means I couldn't help myself. Of course, I had to share everything I got because I'm SO excited! I picked up a little bit of everything, and I'm really happy with everything. One of the Super Shock Shadows I ordered came in damaged unfortunately, but thankfully the texture of the shadows makes it really easy to just press it nicely back into the pot. Not the prettiest, but still works just as well. Anyway, Here's what I picked up!: Lips:  Ultra Satin Lip in Chandelier Ultra Matte Lip in Donut Ultra Satin Lip in Cozy Ultra Satin Lip in Bare Necessities Ultra Glossy Lip in My Jam Ultra Glossy Lip in Bestie (not pictured, I keep that one in my purse!) I also got Mini Ultra Satin Lips in the shades Frick N' Frack, Prim, Dopey and Strip. Really excited to play around wit
