Bikini Alternatives

Swimsuit season is in full swing, but that doesn't mean you have to strut your stuff in a teeny tiny bikini. I've really been loving swimwear that is still sexy but covers more skin and offers much more support than your average bikini. These would be great for curvier figures, ladies with a bigger bust and those who want a more modest bathing suit without giving up the sex appeal factor. If you've ever felt a bit uncomfortable in a bikini, but think one-piece bathing suits to be less attractive, you've definitely got to check these ones out. Options like these would offer more support for a larger bust. I love the one in the middle with the scalloping on the top and the slimming vertical stripes!  These options remain to be super sexy while offering more coverage than a bikini would. The lace is so pretty! While these are still 2 piece bathing suits, the high waisted bottoms are so flattering and cute. There's less skin shown and I know that ladies

Summer Fashion Inspiration

I've been spending a lot of time on Pinterest lately pinning tons of amazing summer fashion (and trying to resist heading straight to the mall to buy it all!). I thought I would share some of the stuff I've been loving lately and hopefully give some of you some ideas if you're looking for some inspiration to update your summer wardrobe. (You can follow me here on Pinterest to stay updated with the stuff I'm loving!)     Stripes, bold colours and aztec pattens have been so huge for me this summer. I'm also loving anything flowy; be it skirts, dresses or loose shorts. Feel free to look at My Dream Closet Pinterest board for more inspiration! Besides, though it might seems a bit late in the game for Summer fashion, right now is probably the best time to shop for summer clothes (hello, summer clearance sales, anyone??) What have you been loving in fashion this summer? Let me kno

Finding the Motivation to Workout

Anyone who knows me could tell you that I'm not exactly a very fit person. But lately I've been going on long runs because I've found myself the perfect jogging route. To be fair, I do spend about 5 minutes out of my 30 minute jog taking pictures, but I'm getting out and working out, and I think thats what counts here. I've started taking my fitness journey a bit more seriously this summer and for those of you who are having a hard time finding the motivation to work out, here are a few tips I've collected so far; Find an inspiring place to work out: I'm not talking about anything crazy here. Lets be honest, finding the motivation to get off your couch and work out in your basement can be a bit hard. So get out and find yourself a place that makes you feel good about the exercise your doing. It could be your back yard, a local park, or a pretty jogging route like I've found! Bottom line is, find somewhere you'll look forward to going and getting

Dealing with Anxiety and Panic Attacks

If you've come here looking for some miracle cure to rid yourself of anxiety, then unfortunately you've come to the wrong place. However, if you are looking for some suggestions of some things that I have found helpful for me, then please, do read on. I've suffered with Anxiety and panic attacks for a while now. I've always been a shy and anxious person, from childhood, but as I got older, it seemed to get worse. Nowadays I can honestly say, as sad as it sounds, that it is a very real part of my every day life. It affects my relationships with other people, it affects how I feel about myself, it affects my every day functioning. And as my anxiety has become more prominent, I've begun to experience panic attacks more often as well. I'm not on any sort of medication to help with this but I have found a few things that help when I begin to feel overwhelmed. When I'm feeling anxious... Distraction:  when I start to feel anxious, I like to distrac

Favourites: June 2015

I'm a bit late with this post, but better late than never :) Here are the things that I have enjoyed using throughout the month of June! Hair:  Pantene Smooth & Sleek Conditioner:  I am so in love with this stuff!! I've tried the shampoo that goes with it, and I really really did not like it AT ALL, but the conditioner is on another level. I have extremely thick and dry hair and this actually managed to smooth it and make it softer than most other conditioners I've ever tried. It also smells incredible which is a huge bonus. Skin:  Olay Fresh Effects Clear Skin Acne Hater Deep Scrub: This product has the full package; cute packaging, amazing smell and it actually WORKS. My face feels so soft and clean after using this and I've noticed that since I've been using this (once a day), my skin has been clearer than usual. Love love loveeee!! Makeup: Maybelline "The Blushed Nudes" eyeshadow palette: I've had my eye on this palette right f

Best Moisturizers for Extra Dry Hands

Anyone who works in a healthcare setting (or anywhere else that requires frequent, intense hand washing) knows that there's nothing worse (and more common!) than dry, cracked hands. I have had such a hard time dealing with this problem and I've tried out so many hand creams trying to find the best of the best; fast absorbing, non greasy, intensely moisturizing and safe for sensitive skin. I've found quite a few great creams and I thought I'd share my favourites! These are all ones that I swear by and are also safe for sensitive and eczema prone skin. If you have really dry hands or are washing your hands frequently and need a good moisturizer to keep your hands soft and lovely, these are definitely ones to try. In no particular order....... Lush - Formulae Known As (AKA the old Charity Pot) I love this stuff! I picked up one of these the first ever time I shopped at Lush and I've been repurchasing it ever since. It smells so nice (kind of like chocolate!) but
